A concentrated taste of Oisans in just a few kilometers
A unique event of the day, the Discovery Trail takes you on an immersive and scenic adventure right from the start. Unlike the other races of the weekend, this one is based in Oz-en-Oisans, offering a refreshing change of setting.
Your journey begins with a gondola ride up to the Alpette plateau, a breathtaking mountain balcony glowing in the late-day light. This is where your adventure truly begins.
The route leads you across one of the most stunning mid-mountain areas: the Oisans Lakes Plateau. You’ll run along flowing trails and slightly more technical sections, discovering a series of natural gems:
- Lac Carrelet,
- Lac Faucille,
- Lac Noir,
- Lac Besson.
Accessible, wild, and wonderfully photogenic, the Discovery Trail is the perfect way to experience the spirit of the Oisans Trail Tour… in a compact yet intense format.

As we are working in natural areas, living together with people who use the land you are walking through all year round, we sometimes have to make changes to our different routes, which may slightly modify the distance and/or the height difference. This distance and difference in altitude are therefore given as an indication.

| REFRESHMENTS | – At the finish line (Oz-en-Oisans) As a reminder, the personal cup is compulsory and no cups will be distributed at the refreshment points (course or finish). |
| TIME LIMITS | The time barriers are calculated on an average of 5 km/h and are as follows: – Arrival in Oz-en-Oisans at 8:30 pm |
| COLLECTION BIBS | Thursday, July 16 in Oz en Oisans from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm |
| REGISTRATION FEES | – 17 € for the first 50 numbers – 21 € for the next 50 numbers – 27 € for the last numbers |
| SHUTTLE (access for departure by gondola lift) | Access to the start line, located at Alpette, will be via the Alpette gondola lift, which can be used on presentation of your bib number. The gondola lift will be open from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm, with the ascent taking approximately 10 minutes. |
